Safi: industrial expertise serving water infrastructure

In its first-quarter 2026 issue, Convergence presents AIC Métallurgie’s contribution to the Safi desalination project led by OCP Green Water and JESA. As part of Wave 2, the subsidiary deploys its teams to install critical equipment, build complex steel structures and carry out heavy lifting operations.

The project uses reverse osmosis to turn seawater into usable water. This work builds on experience gained at the Jorf Lasfar facilities. It brings together the Group’s metallurgical expertise and water infrastructure needs, in a setting with demanding coordination, scheduling and safety requirements.
